Men’s Health Week (MHW) 2011 marked the start of a new phase of development for the Men's Health Forum in Ireland (MHFI). For the first time, we had a common logo, an image pack and a poster which could be used, for free, by everyone who wished to raise awareness of the week. These were (and continue to be) important promotional tools - as a key aim for MHW each year is to let as many people as possible know about it.
The logo is available in a range of sizes and formats, there is a selection of web banners on offer, and there’s even a “We Support Men’s Health Week” image - for groups and individuals who want to be seen to be ‘doing their bit’! Please feel free to use any or all of these images to promote MHW in your own workplace, community, organisation, centre ... All we ask is that you acknowledge the source.
The Men's Health Forum in Ireland is very grateful to Peter Robinson from Noostyle Web Design Belfast (who designed and created the original logo and Image Pack) and Carrie Davenport from Carrie Davenport Photography (who designed and created the MHW 2011 poster). Their input was invaluable.

To highlight Men's Health Week (MHW) 2011, local comedians Joe Rooney (Father Ted and Killinaskully) and Paul Tylak (Stew and Messers Tylak and Rooney) are starring in an Ireland-wide poster campaign to raise awareness of the week. The message for men is very simple: “These are challenging times. It’s no joke. Let’s talk”.
There are two types of poster - hard copy (A3 size) which can be ordered by emailing Colin Fowler (Northern Ireland) or Finian Murray (Republic of Ireland), and an electronic file (A4 size). Click on the links below to download the electronic version you require:

To add an extra element of creativity, the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland (MHFI) will soon be inviting organisations and individuals to put on their thinking caps, and come up with a caption for a different online version of the poster. This will seek to highlight some of the issues that men are currently facing. Keep an eye out for this development.
Even if you don’t do anything else to support MHW this year, you can at least put up a poster to let everyone know when it’s taking place!
